DevGrizzly uses only the data needed to work and explains clearly where and how that data is handled.

The short version

DB Developer Tools, a product by DevGrizzly, temporarily processes only the cells you select, inside your browser or the Google Apps Script runtime, to generate developer code. Selected cell content is not sent to or stored on an external server operated by DevGrizzly.

  • We do not sell Google Sheets data or any Google user data.
  • We do not use user data for advertising, profiling, or training AI or machine-learning models.
  • We process the selected range only when you invoke a generation feature.
  • This website uses no advertising cookies or behavioral analytics.

This summary is provided for convenience. The complete policy below governs how DevGrizzly (“DevGrizzly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the devgrizzly.com website and DB Developer Tools, a product provided by DevGrizzly (the “Product” or the “Service”). Information Google processes independently is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and terms.

2. Information we handle

2.1 Google Sheets data processed by DB Developer Tools

  • Values in cells you select: structured information you deliberately select for code generation, such as table names, column names, data types, keys, constraints, and descriptions.
  • Current document context: the active spreadsheet, sheet, and range references needed to read your selection and display or write output where you request it.
  • Generation choices: your selected target database and output format (SQL, DDL, Java VO, or MyBatis).

This information is processed in memory only while generating the output you request. It is not transmitted to a standalone DevGrizzly database, API, analytics service, or external server, and DevGrizzly does not retain it.

2.2 Support communications

If you contact support@devgrizzly.com, we process your email address, message, and any diagnostic details you choose to include. Please do not send spreadsheet content or personal data that is not necessary for support.

2.3 Website technical data

devgrizzly.com is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not add advertising or user-tracking cookies, or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may nevertheless process standard HTTP request information—such as IP address, browser type, request time, and requested URL—within its infrastructure to deliver, secure, and protect the site. This technical information is separate from, and does not contain, the Google Sheets cell data processed by DB Developer Tools.

3. Access to and use of Google user data

3.1 Access

DB Developer Tools requests only the minimum Google Apps Script permissions needed to display its Google Sheets add-on interface, read the selected range in the current spreadsheet when you run a feature, and display or write the output you request. The exact permissions are shown on Google’s consent screen during installation or authorization. DB Developer Tools never receives your Google password. OAuth credentials and tokens managed by Google are not transmitted to an external DevGrizzly server.

3.2 Use

Selected cell data is used only for the prominent, user-facing feature you request: generating SQL, DDL, Java VO, or MyBatis code. Processing takes place in your browser or in Google’s execution environment provided through Google Apps Script.

3.3 Storage

DevGrizzly does not store selected cell content, spreadsheet files, generated code, or Google OAuth tokens on an external DevGrizzly server. If you choose to write output into your sheet or copy it to your clipboard, that result may remain in a Google document or on a device you control, where you can manage or delete it.

3.4 Sharing and transfers

DevGrizzly does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties, including advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. Because the Service runs in Google Apps Script, Google processes relevant data to provide the Google Workspace and Apps Script services you use. Except where legally required, we cannot disclose Google Sheets content that we do not collect or possess.

3.5 Google API Limited Use compliance

DevGrizzly’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google Workspace APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, creditworthiness, surveillance, or to create, train, or improve generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models. Humans do not read Google user data. If an exception permitted by Google policy—such as complying with law or investigating a security incident—were ever necessary, access would be restricted to what is required. Under the current architecture, DevGrizzly does not hold selected cell data on an external server, so such access does not ordinarily arise.

4. Purposes and legal bases

  • Provide the Service: perform the processing necessary to generate code at your request and deliver the features you use.
  • Provide support: respond to inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
  • Deliver and secure the website: serve the static site reliably and prevent abuse.
  • Meet legal obligations: process information where applicable law requires it.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing is based on performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests, compliance with law, or your consent where required.

5. Retention and deletion

  • Selected cells and generated code: no DevGrizzly external-server retention period because we do not collect or store them.
  • Support email: retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, prevent disputes, and meet legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Web hosting logs: Cloudflare may retain limited security and operational records under its own policies and our hosting configuration.

You can uninstall DB Developer Tools to stop future use and revoke its permissions from your Google Account security settings. You control and must delete any output already written into your sheet.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including data minimization, processing within Google Apps Script, HTTPS, least-privilege permission requests, and security headers on our static website. No system can guarantee absolute security. If you suspect a security issue, contact support@devgrizzly.com.

7. International processing and providers

Google and Cloudflare operate global infrastructure and may process information outside your country. Their processing is subject to their safeguards and applicable law. Core Sheet-cell processing uses Google’s browser, Workspace, and Apps Script environment; DevGrizzly does not copy that cell content to its own external server.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access to, correction or deletion of, restriction or objection to processing of, or portability of personal information we hold, and may withdraw consent. Send requests to support@devgrizzly.com. We may ask for only the information needed to verify your identity.

You may revoke Google access at any time through Google Account third-party connections. You can also uninstall the add-on to stop future use.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe such information was provided by mistake.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be identified by revising the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, through an in-product notice or consent. Before using Google user data for a new purpose, we will provide any notice and obtain any consent required.
